Combining elements of house, jazz and disco, ‘Joy Dive/Night Drive’ is the latest collaborative release from electronic artists Sonny Grin and Kats. A two track, ASide/B-Side release, ‘Joy Dive’ and ‘Night Drive’ take the listener on a journey through upbeat, organic dance vibes, to moody and groove laden improvisation. This release is the follow up to their first single ‘Lungs,’ a 6 minute musical indulgence that dropped in January this year. Dave Ruby-Howe from iconic radio station Triple J, had this to say about their debut collaboration, “Got caught deep in this funky swell that when I looked up the triple j office was swimming with turtles and mermaids.”
After the warm reception they received for ‘Lungs’, the two Sydney producers decided to continue creating together, with ‘Joy Dive/Night Drive’ picking up right where they left off.
