After the successful release of his debut track “Before”, the Sydney
artist is set to release his second single, “Up Here For Thinking, Down
Here For Dancing” on Friday the 10th of May. This new release continues
on from the luscious dance grooves present in “Before”, and weaves it’s
own charm through layers of bright horn filled melodies and intricate
rhythms. Mixed by Brisbane producer Sampology, “Up Here For
Thinking, Down Here For Dancing” exhibits Sonny Grin’s proficiency on
all forms of drums and percussion, as well as bass and electric guitar,
with all instrumental elements allowed to have their own moment in
the sun. Rather than a feature vocalist, a catchy combination of
trumpets and trombones take on song’s the melodic duties, resulting in
a rich aesthetic that mirrors a festival parade band performing in a
vibrant night club.
